General education topic

An essay addressing a theoretical question “How critical thinking is developed?” and a practical question “How to develop critical thinking in science classrooms?” aiming to explore the idea of critical thinking in the education system through the theoretical discourse vis-a-vis the practical strategy.

This essay brings together the topics of gender, ethics, and family education by analysing an ethical issue. In this essay, the feminist ethics of care is used as a theoretical lens to justify the complex ethicality of rape-related abortion.

Believing that mathematics learning inherently involves a number of influencing factors, this essay discusses the role of language in mathematics learning.

Analysis of A Science Interdisciplinary Unit “Deciding Dose”.pdf

Building on the interdisciplinary of STEM education, this essay appraises one published STEM unit learning plan “Deciding Dose” within the aspects of interdisciplinary, pedagogy, and learning outcomes.

Applying Visual Art for STEAM Activity- Lesson Plan and Discussion

This work presents a detailed design for STEAM activity. Bringing together the elements of art and social awareness in the science classroom, the lesson plan guides students to design public transportation signage for people with colour blindness. The activity encourages students to apply scientific knowledge about the human eyes and artistic knowledge of color theory to solve a real-life problem.

Combining Design Thinking and Ethical Capabilities in Designing A STEM Lesson Teaching Sequence

This work presents how design thinking can be applied in STEM lessons to build students’ ethical capabilities.
